It’s Monday, meaning the weekly polls were released earlier this afternoon. We’re also closing in on the end of the season. With the last regular season game now less than month away, it’s time to take a look into the postseason as well. Villanova remains at #6 in both polls. The only other ranked Big East team, Creighton, drops to #18 after the loss at St. John’s last night. The Bluejays were previously ranked at #12.

As for the Big Dance in March? Villanova has been hovering around as a projected 2-seed amongst many different college basketball analysts and websites. It hasn’t changed this week. The Wildcats are listed once again as a 2-seed by various sites such as ESPN, CBSSports.com, and USA Today. I do not really seeing it changing all that much, unless if higher ranked teams fall and Villanova climbs back once again into the Top 4. Also, of course hoping that they don’t go on some losing streak. #5 San Diego State had a scare against Boise State and projected 1-seed Wichita State doesn’t seem to be losing but they are coming closer to a rematch with Missouri State that gave them a tough game last time.
