Josh Hart checks into the game. Opposing defenses know about what he is capable of. He can turn the tide and add productive minutes while he’s on the floor. He gets the ball in the corner and shoots the three.
The ball flies through the air as everyone holds their breath.
The crowd releases an enormous roar. Corner threes are just one of Josh Hart’s specialities. The sophomore guard is an expert at crashing offensive boards to grab rebounds. He can also play some pretty tough defense.
He’s getting recognized for his heart and hustle. Today, the Big East announced a number of individual awards. Josh Hart can now add Big East Sixth Man of the Year to his growing resume. Hart averaged 9.7 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game, playing 25.4 minutes per game. He shot 44.2% from beyond the arc and 48.5% overall.
“Couldn’t be prouder of Josh Hart,” said Villanova head coach Jay Wright. “He handles that position with great dignity.”
