It took a little while to get behind the big man’s protected Twitter account, but Aaron Seigle has given his verbal commitment to play for the Wildcats.
According to 247sports.com, Seigle is a three-star defensive lineman. He has played both the defensive end and defensive tackle positions for Susquehanna Township High School. Seigle has also received scholarship offers from Bucknell, Syracuse, Buffalo, and Old Dominion.
He made his decision a few days ago on June 29th, becoming the second defensive lineman of his class to give a verbal commitment since Jeff Wiley.
Villanova has been known to usually have a strong defensive line over the last few years. At 6-foot-2, 270 pounds, he keeps the continuity alive. He possesses strength and quick feet to beat opposing linemen off the ball. While he does have experience at defensive end, he will most likely be a defensive tackle in Villanova’s 3-3 Stack.
A source says that Seigle was interested in looking for a school that was also strong academically, specifically for their engineering program.
